If you’ve spent any time in the Allman Brothers rabbit hole — and if you’re reading this, you probably have — you know there are tributes, and then there are tributes. A Band of Brothers lands firmly in the second category. They’re bringing the full dual-guitar experience to Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs on Friday, April 3, and for a room that size, this one is worth circling on the calendar.
About A Band of Brothers
This isn’t a bar band running through “Ramblin’ Man” on a Saturday night. A Band of Brothers is an all-star outfit built around the thing that made the Allman Brothers genuinely unlike anything else in rock history: the conversation between two guitars that could go anywhere and take as long as it needed to get there. Guitarists Ryan Taylor and Johnny Trama handle that end with the kind of fluency that only comes from real respect for the source material.
The credential that matters most here is keyboardist Matt Zeiner, who spent four years actually touring with Dickey Betts. That’s not a Wikipedia footnote — that’s someone who understands from the inside how these songs breathe. The organ swells, the transitions, the patience during a jam that’s still building ten minutes in. That institutional knowledge shows up in the performance.
Venue Info
Putnam Place is Saratoga’s rock club, and it’s the right room for this show. Multiple bars, late-night energy, and a crowd that shows up because they actually want to be there. The sight lines are good from anywhere in the room, and when a band locks into a groove the way this one does, you want to be close enough to feel it. After the horses clear out for the season, Putnam becomes the spot, and April is right in that window.
Putnam Place is located in downtown Saratoga Springs, walkable from Broadway and easy to reach from the Northway. Street parking is available nearby. Full venue info here.
Tickets & Pricing
This is an 18+ show. Doors open at 7:30 PM, music starts at 8:30 PM. Presented by Hartstone Productions. Tickets start at $28.14. Given the room capacity and the caliber of the lineup, this won’t be a slow sell.
