The Suckers for Punishment Tour rolls into Rochester on April 16, and Photo City Music Hall is the right room for it. Aesthetic Perfection — the LA-based industrial electro project of Daniel Graves — is headlining with a lineup that treats the night like a proper event.
Graves has been making uncompromising EBM and darkwave-adjacent club music since 2000, and Aesthetic Perfection has become a fixture on the North American industrial circuit. His shows hit differently in a smaller room — the bass frequencies are personal, the crowd gets intense, and the set draws from a catalog that balances dancefloor aggression with pop instincts you didn’t expect.
Julien-K brings the electro-rock angle — Ryan Shuck, formerly of Orgy, co-founded the project, and their sound bridges the industrial and alt-rock worlds in ways that work well in this context. Priest and Kendall Cage round out what is essentially a full evening built around dark electronics and heavy beats.
Doors at 6:00 PM — get there early. 18+ show. Tickets are $27–$30 at Eventbrite.
