Some double bills look good on paper. This one looks good on paper, sounds incredible in your head, and will probably rearrange your internal organs in person. Band of Horses and Dinosaur Jr. co-headline UPAC in Kingston on July 10, 2026.
Let that sink in. Band of Horses — the band that wrote “The Funeral,” one of the most achingly beautiful songs of the 2000s — sharing a stage with Dinosaur Jr., the band whose guitarist J Mascis essentially invented the modern wall-of-fuzz guitar solo.
Band of Horses emerged from the Pacific Northwest with a sound that felt both massive and intimate. Dinosaur Jr. need no introduction to anyone who has ever stood in front of an amplifier and felt their chest vibrate. Mascis is one of the most singular guitar voices in rock history.
UPAC in Kingston is a gorgeous historic theater in the heart of the Hudson Valley, and the kind of room where both of these bands will shine.
Tickets are available now. A co-headline night like this in a room like UPAC doesn’t come around often — grab yours before they’re gone.
