Bat Out of Hell The Musical is coming to UPAC in Kingston in April 2026 — and this is one of the most gloriously over-the-top rock musicals you can see on a touring stage. Jim Steinman’s songs, Meat Loaf’s delivery, turned into a full theatrical production? Yes. Absolutely yes.
About Bat Out of Hell The Musical
Bat Out of Hell The Musical uses Jim Steinman’s catalog — built around the songs from the legendary 1977 Meat Loaf album and its sequels — to tell a post-apocalyptic love story set in a city where the teenage gang leader Strat and his followers can never grow old. The show premiered in Manchester in 2017 and transferred to London’s West End, where it ran to devoted audiences who came for the spectacle and stayed for the music. “Paradise by the Dashboard Light,” “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That),” “Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad” — it’s an extraordinary catalog, and the theatrical staging is built to match the maximalism Steinman always intended.
