There’s a specific energy that Spiritual Rez brings to the stage — heavy grooves, horn-driven chaos, the kind of reggae-funk-rock that turns any room into a dance floor. On Friday, May 15, a tribute act built from within that same music scene is bringing those sounds to Waterhole Music Lounge in Saranac Lake.
Bring it On is a Spiritual Rez tribute assembled from members of Annie in the Water, the Saratoga Springs-based Americana-indie-rock act that has been a fixture of the Upstate NY scene since 2011. Annie in the Water blends folk, funk, and reggae into their own sound — which means the musicians stepping into this tribute role know exactly how to honor the grooves and infectious horn lines that made Spiritual Rez a staple of the northeast festival circuit.
Special guest The People’s Band joins the bill for the night.
Showtime is 8:30 PM. This is a 21+ event at the Waterhole.
Spiritual Rez built their reputation on live shows that don’t let up from the first note — reggae rhythms locked into rock energy with a horn section that fills any room. This is a night to hear that spirit carried forward by a group of musicians who clearly love the source material.
Waterhole Music Lounge is located in Saranac Lake in the North Country. Check the venue website for details and tickets.
