Here is the pitch: you walk into The Egg on September 10, 2026, and by the end of the night, you are part of a massive choir performing songs you already know — alongside hundreds of strangers who walked in feeling the same mix of excitement and mild terror. That is Choir! Choir! Choir!, and it is one of the most joyful live music experiences you will ever have.
About Choir! Choir! Choir!
Born in Toronto, Choir! Choir! Choir! is the brainchild of creative directors Nobu Adilman and Daveed Goldman, who had a simple but radical idea — what if the audience was not separate from the performance? What if everyone in the room sang together? No auditions. No experience required. You show up, you learn the parts on the spot, and then the whole room lifts off.
Since launching in 2011, the group has taken this concept worldwide, performing with artists like Patti Smith and David Byrne and racking up viral videos with millions of views. But the magic is not in the celebrity cameos — it is in the room full of ordinary people discovering that they can make something extraordinary together. The harmonies are taught in real time, the energy builds with every verse, and by the final chorus, the sound of a few hundred untrained voices locking into something genuinely beautiful is enough to ruin you for regular concerts for a while.
Venue Info
The Egg is an inspired choice for this event. The venue’s unique architecture — that iconic concrete egg at the Empire State Plaza — creates an acoustic environment that wraps sound around you, which is exactly what you want when the sound is coming from every direction at once. Whether the performance lands in the Hart Theatre or the Swyer Theatre, the space will amplify the communal energy that makes Choir! Choir! Choir! work. Parking is available in the Empire State Plaza garages, and downtown Albany has plenty of options for dinner or drinks before you go sing your heart out.
Tickets
Tickets are available through Tixr. Bring friends. Bring people who say they cannot sing. Bring the person in your life who needs to loosen up a little. This is one of those nights where participation is the whole point — and nobody leaves without a story.
