Duane Betts & Palmetto Motel are heading to The Egg in Albany on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 8:00 PM. If you know the name Betts and you know anything about Southern rock, you already understand why this matters.
About Duane Betts
Duane Betts carries a last name that’s woven into the DNA of American rock music — his father, Dickey Betts, co-founded the Allman Brothers Band and wrote some of the most iconic guitar melodies in the genre’s history. But Duane isn’t coasting on the family name. With Palmetto Motel, he’s built a band that channels the spirit of Southern rock while carving out its own sound — jam-forward, blues-rooted, and built for the stage. He’s toured with Dawes and played with the Allman Betts Band before stepping out on his own.

The Venue
The Egg is one of those rooms that rewards artists who can actually play. The acoustics in the Hart Theatre are excellent, the sight lines are clean from every seat, and the intimate scale means you’re close to the stage no matter where you sit. It’s part of the Empire State Plaza in downtown Albany — an architectural landmark in the Capital Region.
