Hit the Lights & Major League at Rec Room | May 16, 2026
Here is your excuse to make the drive to Buffalo. Hit the Lights and Major League are closing out their co-headline tour at Rec Room on Saturday, May 16 — the final night of a 16-date run through the eastern United States, which means both bands are going to leave absolutely nothing on the table.
Both acts are out celebrating anniversaries. Hit the Lights — the Lima, Ohio pop-punk outfit formed in 2003 — are marking 20 years of their debut album, This Is a Stick Up… Don’t Make It a Murder, and playing it front to back every night on this run. Vocalist Nick Thompson said it plainly: “This record paved the way for so many opportunities and experiences that very much made us who we are today. I think the best part is that we still find so much joy in playing these songs and hearing people sing them back to us.”
Major League are celebrating the 15th anniversary of their debut EP, The Truth Is…. The New Jersey pop-punk and easycore band broke up in 2016, reunited last year with their original lineup, and this tour — announced in January 2026 — is their first full run since coming back. Public Works and Rematch are along for support on all dates.
Rec Room sits on West Chippewa Street in the heart of downtown Buffalo’s entertainment district — a 400-capacity general admission room with a wide booking philosophy and the considerable advantage of being surrounded by some of the best pre-show dining and nightlife in Western New York. Plan your evening early; this stretch of Chippewa fills up fast on a Saturday night.
Doors at 5:30 PM, show at 6:00 PM. This is a 16+ event — those under 16 are welcome with a parent or guardian, but no one under 12 is admitted. Presented by After Dark Presents.
