Indigo Girls at Beak & Skiff on August 23, 2026. Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have been doing this since 1985, and they are still one of the most riveting acts you can see in a setting like this. An outdoor summer night in LaFayette for this show — I can’t think of a better pairing. Don’t let this one sneak past you.
About Indigo Girls
Amy Ray and Emily Saliers have been writing and performing together since they were teenagers in Decatur, Georgia. Their 1989 self-titled major label debut went platinum and earned them a Grammy; what followed was a career of remarkable creative consistency and a loyal fanbase that has followed them through folk, rock, and Americana over four-plus decades. Their harmonies are one of American music’s great ongoing constants — tight, emotionally direct, and impossible to imitate. Live, they’re stripped down and powerful. If you’ve seen them before, you already know. If you haven’t, this outdoor show in late August is an ideal first experience.
Venue Info
Beak & Skiff’s outdoor amphitheater in LaFayette has been building toward bookings like this one. The apple orchard setting — real trees, real grass, real upstate New York sky — is exactly what this kind of show deserves. It’s about 20 minutes from Syracuse, on-site parking, full food and cider service. If you’re making the trip from Albany or the Capital Region, the drive on Route 20 through Madison County is part of the experience. See the Beak & Skiff venue page for details.
