Parrothead Paradise on the SPAC Lawn
Some shows are about the music. Some shows are about the vibe. Jammy Buffet at SPAC on August 6 is about both — and if you’ve ever been within earshot of a Jimmy Buffett tribute act on a warm summer evening, you already know exactly what kind of night this is going to be. Hawaiian shirts, flip-flops, margaritas in thermoses that aren’t fooling anyone, and a lawn full of people who came to have a genuinely great time. And it’s completely free.
The Saranac Thursday series at SPAC in Saratoga Spa State Park delivers free live music every Thursday through the summer, and this one might draw the most enthusiastic crowd of the season.
About Jammy Buffet
Jammy Buffet does exactly what the name promises — a full night of Jimmy Buffett’s catalog, played with the kind of reverence and fun that the Parrothead community demands. We’re talking “Margaritaville,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” “Fins,” “Come Monday,” and deep cuts that separate the casual fans from the lifers. The late Buffett built one of the most devoted fan bases in music history, and tribute acts that carry that torch have a built-in audience that shows up ready to participate.
On the SPAC lawn, that participation is going to look like a lot of singing along, a lot of dancing, and a lot of people having the kind of effortless good time that Buffett’s music was always designed to soundtrack. If you’re a fan, you already know. If you’re not, this is the kind of show that might convert you — or at least make you understand what all the fuss is about.

Venue Info
SPAC’s lawn is built for nights like this. The amphitheater sits in Saratoga Spa State Park, surrounded by pines and open sky, and for a Parrothead party, the setting is basically perfect. There’s room to spread out, room to dance, and enough space that you can find your own corner of paradise whether you’re in a group of twenty or a party of two.
Parking is free for Saranac Thursday shows. Given the Buffett crowd’s reputation for turning parking lots into pre-show celebrations, you might want to arrive early and soak in the full experience.
