Microwave plays Town Ballroom in Buffalo in April 2026. The Atlanta emo-rock band has been building a devoted following for a decade through records that combine aggressive post-hardcore production with emotionally direct songwriting — and their live shows have earned a reputation that outpaces their streaming numbers.
About Microwave
Microwave formed in Atlanta in 2012 around vocalist/guitarist Nathan Hardy and has released a string of critically appreciated records — Stovall, Much Love, Death Is a Warm Blanket, and 2023’s Microwave — that have earned them a reputation as one of the more serious bands working in the intersection of emo and post-hardcore. Their production is dense and heavy but the songwriting underneath it is genuinely thoughtful. Hardy’s lyrics address anxiety, mortality, and domestic life with a specificity that connects with a fanbase that appreciates being taken seriously. Live, they’re louder and more intense than their studio work suggests.
