The Carnival of Sins Tour arrives at Darien Lake on July 18, 2026, and with Tesla and Extreme on the bill alongside Motley Crue, the case for attending this particular Saturday night in Darien Center is essentially self-evident for anyone who came of age during the golden era of arena rock.
About the Show
Motley Crue’s ongoing relationship with the road has produced more than its share of controversy and conversation over the years, but the band’s live show has always been the thing that settles arguments. From the pyrotechnics to Tommy Lee’s now-legendary drum roller coaster setup to the sheer catalog depth of a group responsible for “Shout at the Devil,” “Girls Girls Girls,” “Dr. Feelgood,” and “Home Sweet Home,” a Crue show at full production is a spectacle that the genre’s detractors cannot easily dismiss. This is what arena rock was designed to look and feel like.
The supporting acts here elevate this bill from a single-headliner event to something more closely resembling a festival evening. Tesla, one of the criminally underrated acts to emerge from the same late-eighties rock scene, brings a catalog anchored by “Love Song” and “Signs” that plays beautifully in the outdoor amphitheater environment. Extreme — Gary Cherone and Nuno Bettencourt, still one of the most technically gifted pairings in rock — round out the bill with a set that will remind the crowd why “Pornograffitti” spent so long on arena turntables. Three bands, a summer Saturday, open sky, and a sound system built for exactly this kind of evening.
Venue Info
Darien Lake Amphitheater handles large-production rock shows as well as any outdoor venue in the northeast, and a bill this size will benefit from the full staging capacity the venue offers. The lawn at Darien Lake for a show like this is a particular kind of magic — standing room, summer night, classic rock reverberating across 22,000 people. Drive time from Buffalo is under an hour; Rochester audiences are equidistant. Arrive early enough to catch Tesla’s full set. Full venue information at Darien Lake Amphitheater. See the complete summer lineup for Western NY.
Tickets & Pricing
Tickets range from $48 to $200, with the wide spread reflecting the difference between lawn access and premium floor or pit positioning. Floor and front-section reserved seats at a Crue show are worth the premium for those who want to be inside the production. Tickets available at Darien Lake.
