Ryan Bingham and the Texas Gentlemen at Artpark | May 29, 2026

Ryan Bingham arrives in Lewiston on May 29 carrying more freight than most Western New York concert announcements. His Still Gettin’ Away With It Tour — named with the particular defiance of someone who has earned the right to the joke — hits Artpark’s Mainstage Theater two weeks after They Call Us the Lucky Ones drops on May 15. It is his first full-length record in seven years. For an artist who has won an Oscar, a Grammy, and a Golden Globe, and spent five seasons as Walker on Yellowstone, the interval makes this album feel like a reckoning rather than a routine release cycle.

About Ryan Bingham

Bingham grew up across the American Southwest — Hobbs, New Mexico by birth, the rodeo circuit by circumstance, Laredo, Texas by formative accident. His sound pulls from that geography: folk, blues, country, and rock with cinematic scope. His 2007 debut Mescalito established him as a songwriter with serious instincts, and 2010’s “The Weary Kind,” co-written with T Bone Burnett for Crazy Heart, confirmed it with an Academy Award, Grammy, Golden Globe, and Critics’ Choice Award. That song remains a benchmark for what Americana can accomplish when it stops trying to be charming and starts telling the truth.

The Texas Gentlemen — Ryan Ake on guitars, Cody Huggins on guitar and pedal steel, Daniel Creamer on piano and organ, Scott Lee on bass, Paul Grass on drums, and Richard Bowden on fiddle and mandolin — are not a hired road band. They Call Us the Lucky Ones was recorded live with minimal overdubs, the way Bingham wanted to do it, and spans snarling rockers to tender ballads. All of it is anchored in the kind of road-earned specificity that passes for poetry in the better corners of American music.

About Artpark

Artpark sits on 150 acres overlooking the Niagara River Gorge in Lewiston — a setting that makes most outdoor venues in the state feel provincial by comparison. This show plays the Mainstage Theater, Artpark’s indoor reserved-seating room, rather than the park’s larger outdoor amphitheater. That configuration puts Bingham and the Gentlemen in a more contained context — the kind of room where the fiddle and pedal steel register properly and the quieter songs can breathe without competing with the gorge wind.
