Tedeschi Trucks Band at Bethel Woods to close out August. If you know, you know — this is one of the greatest live bands on the planet right now, full stop. Susan Tedeschi’s voice, Derek Trucks’ slide guitar, a twelve-piece band that plays like one organism. On the Woodstock grounds. Yeah, this is a big one.
About Tedeschi Trucks Band
Tedeschi Trucks Band is the creative partnership of Susan Tedeschi and Derek Trucks, two of the most respected musicians in American roots music. Derek Trucks is widely regarded as one of the greatest slide guitarists alive — a former member of the Allman Brothers Band whose tone and feel are instantly recognizable. Susan Tedeschi is a powerhouse vocalist and guitarist whose blues-soaked voice can make grown adults weep. Together, they lead a sprawling ensemble that includes multiple vocalists, a horn section, and a rhythm section that grooves like nothing else on the road today. The band’s sound draws from blues, soul, gospel, rock, and jazz, creating a live experience that is by turns joyful, devastating, and transcendent.
The Venue
Bethel Woods Center for the Arts on the Woodstock site is a spiritually appropriate home for Tedeschi Trucks Band. Derek Trucks’ deep connection to the Allman Brothers legacy — a band synonymous with the spirit of Woodstock-era rock — makes this venue feel like destiny. The outdoor pavilion and lawn offer gorgeous Hudson Valley views, and on an August evening, the setting is pure magic.

TTB live is an experience that rewires your brain about what a band can be. Twelve musicians on stage, all of them elite, all of them serving the music rather than showing off. Derek’s slide tone is otherworldly — like a human voice channeled through six strings. Susan’s vocals are pure raw emotion. And when the whole band locks into a groove, with the horns punching and the backup singers soaring, you feel it in your chest. At Bethel Woods to close out August, this is going to be one of the defining concerts of the summer. Get there early, find your spot, and prepare to be transformed. Absolutely not to be missed.
