“Weird Al” Yankovic at Empower FCU Amphitheater | July 10, 2026

By Kira Vasquez · March 11, 2026

Yankovic’s return to Syracuse on Friday, July 10, 2026, marks his first appearance in the city since the 2019 Strings Attached tour brought him to the Landmark Theatre with a full orchestra — a seven-year gap that ends, fittingly, on the most ambitious tour of his career. The Bigger & Weirder 2026 Tour stops at Empower Federal Credit Union Amphitheater at Lakeview as the only Upstate New York date on a 90-city North American run, with the next-nearest show the following night at UBS Arena on Long Island.

About “Weird Al” Yankovic

For an artist who has been parodying pop music since 1976, “Weird Al” Yankovic has somehow turned his fifth decade in the business into his most productive touring stretch. The 2025 leg of Bigger & Weirder moved more than 500,000 tickets across 75 dates, sold out Madison Square Garden, and packed both Bethel Woods and SPAC. “We did 75 shows this year, and the fans weren’t sick of us yet, so we’re just going to keep on touring until they are,” Yankovic said in announcing the expansion — a tidy summary of why this franchise endures. The Grammy-winning accordion player who scored a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and a 2022 Roku biopic starring Daniel Radcliffe is now a genuine American institution, and the institution is in unusually good form.

The 2026 production scales up everything. A giant video wall anchors the stage; multiple costume changes punctuate the night; and the band itself doubles in size, with Al’s longtime original ensemble joined by four additional players for an eight-piece configuration. The setlist mixes the inescapable hits with the deep cuts that Yankovic die-hards travel for — the kind of two-tier programming that rewards both casual fans and the people who can recite the polka medleys verbatim. Opening is Puddles Pity Party, the seven-foot sad clown with the startlingly good voice.

The 6,500-capacity Onondaga Lake shed that Live Nation operates as Central New York’s primary outdoor room remains the default summer landing pad for the touring acts that don’t quite fill an arena but want a real production. Bring a blanket, not a chair — Live Nation prohibits outside lawn chairs at this venue, with limited rentals available onsite. Showtime is 8:00 PM.

Tickets & Pricing

Tickets are on sale now via Ticketmaster and the secondary market. This is the only Weird Al date anywhere in Upstate New York in 2026, so casual fans who skipped the 2025 SPAC and Bethel Woods shows should not assume another chance is coming soon.
