Start Making Sense — the nationally touring Talking Heads tribute — opens a two-night run at Cohoes Music Hall on Friday, May 29, 2026 at 8:00 PM. (Night 1 of 2. Night 2 is Saturday, May 30.)
About Start Making Sense
The Talking Heads catalog is deceptively difficult to pull off. The rhythmic complexity, David Byrne’s singular performance style, the Brian Eno production sensibility — a seven-piece band has to be exceptional to do it justice. Start Making Sense is. They’ve built a national reputation by executing the sounds and the iconic live visual elements of the Heads with genuine depth, celebrating a catalog that has excited, inspired, and healed folks worldwide since the band’s first CBGB’s show in 1975.
Two nights, same band, same room — each set is its own event. Catching both is worth it if you can manage it.
Venue Info
Cohoes Music Hall is a 500-seat historic venue inside a restored 1874 opera house at 58 Remsen Street in Cohoes, NY. A Talking Heads tribute in a 19th-century opera house is exactly the kind of beautiful absurdity Byrne himself would appreciate.
