Your Guide to Live Music in Upstate New York

Albany & Capital Region Concerts

From SPAC’s summer lawn to Albany’s historic theaters — your guide to live music in the Capital Region

The Capital Region Music Scene

From the iconic lawn at Saratoga Performing Arts Center to the ornate balconies of the Palace Theatre, the Capital Region is the beating heart of Upstate New York’s live music scene. Albany, Saratoga Springs, Troy, and Schenectady form a corridor of world-class venues that punch well above their weight.

Every summer, SPAC draws headliners from across the globe to its amphitheater nestled in Saratoga Spa State Park. Downtown Albany’s MVP Arena fills with arena-tour energy, while The Egg’s modernist dome hosts jazz, folk, and everything in between. Cross the river to Troy and you’ll find the acoustically perfect Savings Bank Music Hall — a hidden gem that artists rave about.

Whether you’re catching a sold-out show at Empire Live or discovering a rising act at Saratoga Music Hall, this region delivers an experience that rivals any city on the East Coast.
