Kingston is kicking off the summer right. Band of Horses and Dinosaur Jr. are launching their co-headlining 2026 tour at Ulster Performing Arts Center on Friday, July 10 — and if you’re going to catch this pairing once, opening night in the Hudson Valley is the place to do it.
What makes this show different: both bands are performing complete classic albums front to back. Band of Horses plays their 2006 debut Everything All the Time in full, marking its 20th anniversary. Dinosaur Jr. answers with their 1993 album Where You Been in its entirety. Two landmark records. One night.
About Band of Horses
Ben Bridwell built Band of Horses in 2004 after Seattle slowcore outfit Carissa’s Wierd dissolved, and Everything All the Time — released on Sub Pop in March 2006 — announced the project loudly. Pitchfork scored it 8.8. “The Funeral” became their signature track, the song that keeps turning up in soundtracks years after its release. The 2010 follow-up Infinite Arms earned a Grammy nomination; the band has kept a devoted following through Things Are Great in 2022. This anniversary run is the celebration that album deserves, played in full.
About Dinosaur Jr.
Dinosaur Jr. formed in 1984, helped write the blueprint for grunge through sheer volume and intensity, and reunited in 2005 after years apart. Where You Been (1993) is one of their defining records — hearing it played back-to-back with Everything All the Time makes this feel less like a concert and more like a lesson in what independent rock can do at its best.
