If you have a kid between 2 and 7, odds are good that Blippi is already living rent-free in your house. The Be Like Blippi Tour brings that blue-and-orange energy off the screen and onto a real stage — and Rochester is one of the final stops on the North American run, with only Brooklyn (December 12) and Connecticut (December 13) still to come.
The show lands at Kodak Center on a Thursday at 6 PM. That early start is your friend when you are wrangling young kids on a school night — but it does mean you want to leave work on time and not count on any buffer before the lights go down.
About the Be Like Blippi Tour
Presented by Round Room Live and Moonbug Entertainment, the production features Blippi and companion Meekah in a live interactive adventure that runs about an hour and five minutes. That runtime is pretty much the Goldilocks zone for the 2–7 set — long enough to feel like an event, short enough that you are not carrying anyone out over your shoulder.
Families can expect singing, dancing, and audience participation throughout. The show invites everyone to put on their orange glasses and join in on fan favorites including “The Excavator Song,” “Monster Truck,” “Dino Dance,” and “Curious Like Me.” Professional stage performers are cast in all roles for the tour. One thing worth knowing before you buy: Clayton Grimm will not be appearing as Blippi on this tour.
If you want to round out the night, a Photo Experience is available for purchase separately — stage access for a character meet-and-greet, plus a souvenir tour lanyard and special pass. Each adult and child needs a separate ticket for the add-on, so run the math before you check out.
