Lynyrd Skynyrd and Foreigner bring their co-headlining Double Trouble Double Vision Tour to Saratoga Springs on Sunday, August 23, 2026, with a 6:30 PM start at SPAC. Two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame institutions, nineteen cities, one late-August night in the pines — the booking is exactly what it looks like.

About Lynyrd Skynyrd & Foreigner

Lynyrd Skynyrd’s story is among the most consequential in Southern rock. Formed in Jacksonville, Florida in 1966, the band built a catalog that outlasted the 1977 plane crash that killed original frontman Ronnie Van Zant. The reconstituted lineup — anchored since the 1987 reunion by Johnny Van Zant on vocals — has kept the material alive through the decades, though the 2023 death of co-founding guitarist Gary Rossington, whose final concert was recorded at the Ryman Auditorium in 2022, closed a chapter no amount of road work can reopen. The band played the New York State Fair in Syracuse as recently as August 2025, and their catalog still draws amphitheater-scale audiences on its own terms.

Foreigner arrives in their 50th anniversary year, having moved at least 50 million certified units over a career built on FM radio staples — “Cold as Ice,” “Urgent,” “I Want to Know What Love Is.” The notable variable entering 2026: longtime vocalist Kelly Hansen played his final shows with the band in October 2025, and guitarist Luis Maldonado, who joined in 2021, has since assumed vocal duties for the touring lineup. The SPAC date falls among the first full tests of how that catalog carries under new direction. Bassist Jeff Pilson framed the co-headline plainly: “Two bands with plenty of iconic songs, dueling guitars, double trouble and double vision will set each stage on fire.”

Opening the night is Six Gun Sally, a Southern rock act appearing on all 19 dates of the tour.

About SPAC

The Saratoga Performing Arts Center holds 25,000 — 5,200 under the covered pavilion, the rest on a sloped lawn that runs toward the tree line. This is the inaugural classic rock booking of SPAC’s 2026 season. Live Nation policies apply: no outside chairs are permitted (lawn chair rentals available on-site), no outside alcohol, and clear bag requirements are in effect at entry. SPAC’s membership program offers priority ticket access and reduced fees for Live Nation events. The venue is at 108 Avenue of the Pines, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
