Aerosmith at Glens Falls Civic Center — April 21, 1983

This was the Rock in a Hard Place Tour — the darkest chapter in Aerosmith’s history. Both Joe Perry and Brad Whitford had left the band, replaced by guitarist Jimmy Crespo and rhythm guitarist Rick Dufay. The band was battling substance abuse issues and playing smaller venues like the Glens Falls Civic Center — they actually played Glens Falls twice that year, working the upstate circuit hard. The comeback with Perry and Whitford wouldn’t happen until 1984’s Back in the Saddle Tour.
