Aerosmith brought the Toys in the Attic Tour to Rochester, supporting the album that had been released just 20 days earlier — the record that would become their commercial breakthrough, spawning “Walk This Way” and “Sweet Emotion” and eventually selling 8 million copies. This was show No. 13 on the tour. The band was on the verge of superstardom, still playing 4,000-seat war memorials, months away from becoming one of the biggest rock acts on the planet.
