Alice Cooper at Rochester War Memorial — April 23, 1972

Alice Cooper was at the peak of shock-rock notoriety on the Killer Tour — boa constrictor, gallows, fake blood, and baby-doll dismemberment. The setlist included “I’m Eighteen,” “Under My Wheels,” “Be My Lover,” and “Dead Babies,” plus a preview of “School’s Out” months before the single would hit No. 7 in the U.S. that summer. The Rochester bill also featured Fleetwood Mac and Lighthouse. One of the wildest triple bills upstate New York has ever seen.
