Metallica rolled into Albany’s Pepsi Arena on the Poor Touring Me tour behind their polarizing 1996 album Load — shorter haircuts, bluesier riffs, and a fanbase still adjusting. Corrosion of Conformity opened. The 18-song set leaned hard on the new material but still delivered the classics: “Creeping Death” opened the night, “Master of Puppets” anchored the encore, and “Enter Sandman” closed it out.
