Tenpenny is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter signed to Riser House/Columbia Nashville who broke through commercially with his 2018 debut major-label album Telling All My Secrets, which opened at No. 5 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart and No. 53 on the Billboard 200. The record confirmed a pop-country instinct that has been the through-line of his career since: direct lyrics, melodies that move without announcing themselves, and a voice that holds up quiet moments as easily as anthems. “Truth About You” became a viral hit on TikTok, accumulating over 2.5 million streams in its first three days after its July 2021 release and reaching No. 27 on the US Hot Country Songs chart. Tenpenny describes his influences as ranging from John Mayer to Michael Jackson, which explains something about the distance he covers between a slow-burning ballad and a radio-ready hook. He has extended that range through collaboration as well, with appearances alongside Chris Young on “At the End of a Bar” and Teddy Swims on “Elephant in the Room.”
The Speed of Light Tour, named after Tenpenny’s single of the same name, launched February 6, 2026, in Rockford, Illinois, and has been working through the country, with dates across the US and into Canada. Sets on this run draw from his catalog (“Drunk Me,” “Truth About You,” “We Got History”) alongside material from his album The 3rd and the tour’s namesake single. The Chittenango date is presented by Back II Back Entertainment and The Haven.

The Haven of the Wild is an outdoor event venue in Chittenango, in Central New York. The venue describes its setting as live music “under the stars overlooking the African savanna,” a phrase that earns the name and signals that this is not the standard outdoor amphitheater. It’s an unusual summer destination in the region, and one that suits a warm-weather country show. Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
