A Tuesday night in November at Buffalo RiverWorks — and Wage War is the reason to head down Ganson Street. The Florida metalcore five-piece brings their Emergency Broadcast headlining tour to the 3,000-capacity multi-use complex on November 17th, showtime at 7:00 PM, with a stacked supporting bill: We Came As Romans, Varials, and Cane Hill along for the whole run. That is a very full night of metalcore.
About Wage War
Wage War formed in Ocala, Florida in 2010 — originally under the name Empires — and built their following the hard way: relentless touring, including the full run of Vans Warped Tour in 2016. Five studio albums in, the band has never stopped pushing. The current lineup is Briton Bond on lead vocals, Seth Blake on lead guitar, Cody Quistad on rhythm guitar and clean vocals, Chris Gaylord on bass, and Stephen Kluesener on drums.
The Emergency Broadcast tour supports their new EP It Calls Me By Name, released April 17, 2026 on Fearless Records. Lead single “Song of the Swamp” earned an honorable mention for Heavy Song of the Week at its debut. The full five-track EP — including the groove-and-hip-hop energy of “Karma” and the relentless closer “Purify” — has pulled strong critical response. Distorted Sound gave it a 9/10, writing: “When it comes to metalcore in 2026, you won’t find much better than Wage War’s It Calls Me By Name.” The band has framed this tour as a return engagement — Round 2 following a previous headline run — and Buffalo is one of 25 stops between October 25 and November 27.
About Buffalo RiverWorks
Buffalo RiverWorks sits at 359 Ganson St along the Buffalo River — a 3,000-capacity outdoor/multi-use complex and one of the bigger rooms in the Western New York concert circuit. One practical note worth putting in your back pocket: this venue is classified as outdoor/multi-use, and mid-November in Buffalo is not the time to wing it on what you are wearing. Check the forecast the morning of the show and layer accordingly. Western New York has a way of making that call for you.
