Slaughter to Prevail do not ease a crowd in. Their Vans Warped Tour set produced what fans called the biggest wall of death in America, and Alex Terrible’s guttural deathcore vocals don’t get quieter in smaller rooms — they get more immediate. The band brings the GRIZZLY tour to central New York on Wednesday, November 4, stopping at Sharkey’s Event Center in Liverpool with special guest Rev3rent on the bill.
About the Show
Slaughter to Prevail formed in 2014 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Vocalist Aleksandr Shikolai, who performs as Alex Terrible, built an early following through YouTube vocal covers; British guitarist Jack Simmons, formerly of UK deathcore act Acrania, tracked him down and pushed through the language barrier to get a transatlantic collaboration off the ground. The band signed to Sumerian Records in 2016, released their debut album Misery Sermon in 2017, and cracked into a substantially wider audience with the 2020 single “Demolisher.” Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the full band relocated to Orlando, Florida in 2022.
This stop is part of the North America 2026 Leg 2 of the GRIZZLY tour, supporting the 2025 album Grizzly (released July 18 via Sumerian Records). The record debuted at #1 on the Hard Music Chart and #3 on both the Current Rock Albums and Emerging Artists charts. Metal Hammer’s review noted comparisons to Rammstein’s grandiosity alongside industrial metal textures and Slavic undertones, marking a genuine compositional leap from the band’s earlier breakdown-driven catalog. The same review placed them with Bring Me the Horizon, Lorna Shore, and Whitechapel among deathcore’s notable crossover acts. The Metal Verse identified them as “the most popular deathcore act in the world right now.” The band has announced a hiatus from touring in 2027 and 2028, which puts real weight on this fall run for fans who haven’t caught them yet.

The show takes place at Sharkey’s Event Center, specifically the Jim Beam Stage under the Burritt Motors Pavilion, at 7240 Oswego Rd. in Liverpool, just outside Syracuse in central New York. Showtime is 6:00 p.m. Age restriction: 16 and up with valid ID; under 16 admitted with an adult.
