The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band at The Song & Dance | May 8, 2026

By Nate Calloway · April 15, 2026

Indiana country-blues trio The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band brings their raw, raucous roadhouse energy to The Song & Dance in Syracuse on Friday, May 8, 2026. Tickets from $26.96 at Ticketweb.

The Reverend Peyton: Country Blues Done Right

Josh “The Reverend” Peyton is one of the most committed live performers in American roots music — a fingerpicking country blues guitarist who plays with the intensity of someone who has been doing this on the road, day after day, for years. The Big Damn Band is a trio, lean and loud, and their live show has earned them a loyal following across the touring circuit. They’ve been at it since the mid-2000s and maintain a heavy international touring schedule.

The Song & Dance is a small room, which suits their sound perfectly. Close enough to feel the guitar work, loud enough to feel the low end.
