There are nights that The Song & Dance was built for, and a sweaty Thursday with Houston brutallers Corpse Pile rolling in on a 31-date national headlining run is exactly that kind of night.
Doors open at 6:00 PM — show starts at 7:00 PM sharp. This is a 200-capacity room, and with four bands on the bill, you want to be there early if you care about real estate near the front.
About Corpse Pile
Corpse Pile are a Houston-based brutal death metal outfit signed to Maggot Stomp and Arson Theory — two labels that tell you everything you need to know about the pedigree here. Their 2025 EP In the Beginning… landed a 9.5/10 from Boolin Tunes, and fans have been reaching for comparisons to early Dying Fetus and Devourment. The sound is exactly what those names suggest: down-tuned riff work, blast beats, slam sections, and gut-punch low-frequency bass drops. The band calls it “hardgore” and they mean it literally — no mysticism, no fashion, just punishment.
This is stop nine of 31 on their summer U.S. headlining run, which kicked off July 8 in New Orleans and stretches all the way to Houston on August 7. They’re coming straight off a Brooklyn date on July 14 and a Torrington, CT stop on July 15, so they’ll be well warmed up by the time they hit Jefferson Street.
