Papa Roach has maintained chart presence across more than 25 years without abandoning the catalog that established them — a balance few bands from the nu-metal class of 2000 have managed, and the one that keeps their live shows drawing at the amphitheater level when most contemporaries from that era have long since dropped to clubs or stopped touring entirely. The Rise of the Roach Tour, which ran 34 stops in 2025, returns in 2027 with 30 more dates and a support lineup that suggests the band is thinking about the full evening more carefully than most acts at their level.
About the Show
The 30-date 2027 run opens May 11 in Biloxi and closes June 27 in Auburn, WA, hitting arenas and amphitheaters across the country. The Scranton stop on June 5 falls roughly in the middle of the run. Support comes from Ice Nine Kills, the Massachusetts horror-metal band whose theatrical staging and aggressive catalog pair naturally with Papa Roach’s harder material, and from Ninth Key, a rising rock-metal act receiving Jacoby Shaddix’s personal endorsement on this run.
Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas called the invitation “an absolute honor,” noting that Jacoby Shaddix’s cameo in Ice Nine Kills’ “Hip to be Scared” video is “already legendary among our beloved Psychos” as evidence of the pre-existing connection between the two acts. “We can’t wait to put our blood-soaked stamp on the stage before P Roach blazes through their monster catalog of hits,” Charnas said. Shaddix, for his part, is characteristically direct: “We can’t wait to get out there and infest America again. Bringing our horrifyingly entertaining friends Ice Nine Kills is overdue, and we’re excited to introduce our fans to Ninth Key, a band we’re big fans of.”
Papa Roach’s catalog stretches from the triple-platinum Infest (2000), the album that produced “Last Resort” and established their commercial footing, through Ego Trip (2022), which kept them active on rock radio with multiple chart-topping singles, and into recent singles “Even If It Kills Me” and “Braindead” (2025) and “Wake Up Calling” (2026). Shaddix has described the latter as “a song about standing on the edge of disaster — being pulled back from the brink, and ultimately choosing love over self-destruction. It’s one of the most raw, emotional songs we’ve written.” A dollar from every ticket sold benefits the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, a cause the band has supported since 2023.
Venue & Logistics
The Pavilion at Montage Mountain is an outdoor amphitheater in Scranton, PA, suited to the kind of large-format production this tour carries. For the southern-tier New York audience, it’s a familiar regional draw.
