Jessie’s Girl spent the better part of a decade selling out Le Poisson Rouge on Saturday nights — a downtown NYC residency that ran until the pandemic closed the calendar, not because the room stopped filling. That distinction matters if you’re inclined to dismiss any act with the word “tribute” in the billing. The Back to the Eighties Show is something the genre rarely produces: a roving party with actual receipts.
About the Show
The show arrives at Penn’s Peak on Saturday, January 30, 2027, fronted by three vocalists — Destinee Monroe, Jerome Bell-Bastien, and Mark Rinzel — with a live band of 20-plus-year NYC session veterans: Eric Presti on guitar, Drew Mortali on bass, Michael Maenza on drums, and Karlee Bloom on keys and keytar. The set covers the full width of the decade: Madonna, Michael Jackson, Van Halen, Loverboy. No two shows share the same mix, which is part of the pitch to anyone who has seen them before.
Penn’s Peak is not a new stop. The venue appears on their list of established houses where the show has previously sold out, alongside the Capitol Theatre in Westchester, the Paramount on Long Island, and the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey. The Theater at Madison Square Garden is also on the resume, under the billing “I Want My ’80s Concert.”
What separates the Back to the Eighties Show from the standard tribute circuit is the caliber of names who have joined them on stage: Bret Michaels, MC Hammer, Colin Hay, Tiffany, Debbie Gibson, Taylor Dayne, Mike Score of A Flock of Seagulls, Tone Loc, and Rob Base. They’re artists who showed up. The show also held the distinction of being the only act to perform on The ’80s Cruise every year through 2024.
The crowd dress code is not exactly optional: neon, spandex, legwarmers, and whatever remains of your hairspray.

Penn’s Peak sits on a hilltop above Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, in the Pocono Mountains. A destination venue with panoramic valley views, it draws from Hudson Valley audiences and well beyond. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., show at 8:00 p.m.
