When “You Just Didn’t Like Me That Much” caught on TikTok in 2022, Leanna Firestone went from a rising indie-pop voice to one with over 100 million streams to her name. Now two albums deep and on the Victory Lap Tour’s second leg, she brings that catalog back to Buffalo for the first time in two years — Mohawk Place, Friday, December 4.
About the Show
This stop is part of the Victory Lap Tour’s extended second leg, which launched November 7, 2026, and supports The Answer, Firestone’s second album and her longest project to date. Built around a fictional bar called “Hot Shot,” the record spans breakups, self-reflection, new relationships, and family dynamics. It mixes slower, introspective pieces with high-energy tracks, centering on a theme stated plainly in the title: “If I have to ask, then I already know the answer.”
Singles “Victory Lap” (March 2026) and “Town Ain’t Big Enough” (April 2026) have led the way for the tour. The latter reconnects with the country-music roots Firestone grew up with in Tennessee, though her range goes wider than any single genre. The Answer also marks a shift in her writing process: she collaborated with co-writer Abby Cates on roughly half the album, moving toward more refined, collaborative work than her earlier solo approach.
The tour’s aesthetic, as Firestone has described it, leans toward “country bar, one-year-post-divorce celebration” — glitter, boots, and dancing for a crowd she writes for: people who value female friendships, LGBTQ+ community, theater, and deep connection. Sydney Sprague opens.
Firestone has been direct about what she’s after on stage: “My measure of success is that people leave the concert feeling less alone than they did when they walked in.” Expect a setlist pulling from across her catalog, including early singles, material from her 2023 EP Public Displays of Affection, and new tracks from The Answer.
Venue & Logistics
Mohawk Place is a 200-capacity music club on E. Mohawk St. in downtown Buffalo, a western New York venue that puts you within range of the stage no matter where you land. For a show built around the kind of direct artist-audience connection Firestone prioritizes, the room fits. The show is at 7:00 p.m.
