Three years removed from In the Court of the Dragon (their tenth studio album), Trivium arrives at Place Bell in Laval on November 17 carrying a specific weight: a new drummer, unreleased material, and the band’s own framing of the Crown in the Grave World Tour as the beginning of whatever comes next.
About the Show
Alex Rüdinger joined Trivium in 2025 following the departure of Alex Bent, completing the current lineup alongside Matthew K. Heafy, Corey Beaulieu, and Paolo Gregoletto. This 32-date North American run, stretching November 5 through December 19, is by the band’s own account where that new configuration gets its proper launch: “This fall’s Trivium tour is a huge one for us… we can’t wait to get out there, kick off this next era of Trivium with Rudi behind the kit and give you a taste of the new music we’ve been working on.” That new music follows the Struck Dead EP from fall 2025; a full studio album is expected, and this run will include live previews of material still to be formally released.
The quartet formed in Orlando in 2000. Ascendancy, their 2005 album, has been called one of the decade’s touchstone metal records, an assessment that landed alongside the Grammy nomination and the long-standing description of Trivium as the biggest thrash metal band to emerge in the 21st century. The November 17 Laval date includes In Flames, Orbit Culture, and Frozen Soul on the bill. In Flames, the Swedish melodic death metal pioneers formed in 1990 and fronted by Anders Fridén, appear as special guests across all 32 dates; Trivium has cited them as a formative influence on the band’s early work. “The lineup is stacked from top to bottom, and we’re honored to have special guests IN FLAMES,” the band said. Orbit Culture joins for the opening stretch of the tour; Frozen Soul supports every date.
