DJ Snake has described Montreal as home to “some of his most memorable crowd moments,” and this November he’s coming back with a production built to live up to that. His show at Place Bell in Laval on Friday, November 13 lands after a 2025 that included a sold-out night before 80,000-plus at Stade de France and a 2026 that has taken him through Ultra Music Festival dates across multiple continents. At Coachella this year, he didn’t just perform — he curated the Pardon My French stage.
About the Show
Born William Sami Étienne Grigahcine in Paris to Algerian immigrant parents and raised in suburban Ermont, DJ Snake started DJing at 14 with early influences ranging from Cypress Hill to Daft Punk to Timbaland. His production work on Lady Gaga’s Born This Way in 2011 earned him a Grammy nomination, and he signed to Diplo’s Mad Decent label the following year. “Turn Down for What” with Lil Jon in 2013 defined the era’s crossover trap moment. “Lean On” with Major Lazer and MØ arrived in 2015 and became one of the most-streamed songs in Spotify’s history. In 2017, he became the first artist ever to perform atop Paris’s Arc de Triomphe. “Taki Taki” with Selena Gomez, Cardi B, and Ozuna in 2018 topped the Global Spotify chart for over a month. His third studio album, Nomad, arrived in 2025 and added a more cinematic and atmospheric direction to a catalog already spanning EDM, trap, reggaeton, afrobeat, and Latin sounds. With more than 30 million monthly Spotify listeners, he remains one of the more consistently visible names in contemporary electronic music. Live, his sets pull from that full range rather than settling into a single-genre format. The Place Bell show is presented by ÎLESONIQ, the Montreal-based electronic music festival brand, and is being framed as “a large-scale live experience that pushes beyond traditional DJ performances.”
