If you have not been to Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, let October 29th be the reason you finally go. Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox is bringing the Future Is Vintage World Tour to Troy — and this is exactly the right room for it.
About Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox
Scott Bradlee launched Postmodern Jukebox in 2010 out of a basement in Queens, New York. The premise was simple: take the pop hits of today and reimagine them as vintage jazz, swing, and soul. It worked. More than two billion YouTube views and over a thousand shows on six continents later, PMJ has performed at Royal Albert Hall, Radio City Music Hall, and the Sydney Opera House.
What makes it worth the trip is the rotating cast. Every show features a different lineup of world-class vocalists, dancers, and instrumentalists — meaning even if you have seen PMJ before, you have not seen this show. The material runs wide: 70s rock, 80s Britpop, current chart-toppers, movie themes, video game soundtracks — all filtered through a vintage lens that makes everything feel both nostalgic and completely alive. The collective encourages the crowd to dress in vintage attire, and when the room shows up for it, the whole thing stops being a concert and becomes something more like a party.
About the Venue
Troy Savings Bank Music Hall holds 1,200 and has a reputation that precedes it. It is a genuine concert hall — not a converted space, not a club that added a PA system — at 30 Second Street in downtown Troy. Plan to build a night around it: Troy’s downtown and the broader Capital District give you plenty of reasons to show up early.
