Rolling Stone put Tig Notaro among the 50 best stand-up comics of all time, and her work earns it — the deliberate pace, the unflinching material, the rooms that go completely quiet not out of politeness but because nobody wants to miss what comes next. Her Out of Nowhere tour, a 25-plus-date run stretching from fall 2026 through summer 2027, makes its Vermont stop at Rutland’s Paramount Theatre on Friday, February 19.
About the Show
Notaro is an Oscar-nominated producer and Emmy- and Grammy-nominated comedian, actor, writer, and podcaster, with a career that has kept expanding without losing its center. Her latest special, Tig Notaro: Hello Again, debuted on Prime Video with multiple Emmy nominations; her documentary Come See Me in the Good Light won a Peabody Award, a GLAAD Award, and an Oscar nomination for Best Documentary Feature. She created and starred in the TV series One Mississippi, co-directed the film Am I Ok? with her wife Stephanie Allynne, and authored the New York Times bestselling memoir I’m Just a Person. She also co-hosts the GLAAD Award-winning podcast Handsome with Fortune Feimster and Mae Martin. Currently she appears in The Morning Show on Apple TV+, Star Trek: Starfleet Academy on Paramount+, and American Horror Story: 13 on FX, with two films, The Comeback King and Beach Read, arriving in 2027.

Venue & Logistics
The Paramount Theatre is an 838-seat historic theater in downtown Rutland, on the western edge of Vermont near the Green Mountains and part of the north-country performing-arts circuit that tends to reward the drive. For stand-up comedy, particularly Notaro’s brand of it, the room is close to ideal: large enough to feel like a proper event, contained enough that her timing carries all the way to the back row. If you are coming from anywhere in upstate New York, plan to arrive in time for lobby doors, which open at 6:30 p.m. Seating begins at 7:00 p.m. Show time is 7:30 p.m.
Tickets
Tickets are priced at $55, $65, $75, $85, and $105, plus tax and fees. The general on-sale launched Friday, October 16 at 10 a.m.; Theatre Members received early access starting October 15 at noon.
