Ali Siddiq at Shea’s Performing Arts Center | January 9, 2027

By Meg Andersen · October 21, 2026

Ali Siddiq doesn’t write comedy so much as he constructs stories — the kind that take their time, build pressure, and then land with more force than a typical punchline. Vulture has called him “stand-up comedy’s most prolific storyteller,” and the case is hard to dispute. His Custom Fit Tour, 64 shows into a run that is still expanding, brings that craft to Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo on Saturday, January 9 at 8 p.m.

About the Show

The Custom Fit Tour launched in April 2026 and has grown steadily since, with Siddiq completing his first arena dates in Baltimore, Tallahassee, and Atlanta, including a performance at State Farm Arena where he moved 7,000 tickets. January’s 18-market extension puts the Buffalo date among the first stops in that new wave, on a run that eventually leads to Radio City Music Hall in March 2027.

Siddiq is a Houston native who developed his comedic voice during incarceration, where storytelling was a survival mechanism and a form of community currency. That origin informs everything he does on stage: his material is confessional, structural, earned. His four-part series The Domino Effect has over 45 million combined views on YouTube, with the 2022 installment ranking among the platform’s top five most-watched comedy specials at 17-plus million views. He has been featured on Joe Rogan Experience, Club Shay Shay, The Breakfast Club, and Good Morning America. He won an NAACP Image Award for My Two Sons and was named among Deadline’s Comics Who Won 2025. His YouTube channel carries 1.6 million subscribers and over 400 million total views.

No support acts have been announced for the Buffalo performance.

Venue & Logistics

Shea’s Performing Arts Center sits on Main Street in downtown Buffalo and holds 3,019, a theater-scale room that suits a comedian who has been filling arenas but still values what a proper performing arts center can do for a show. The western New York venue runs a strict phone-free policy: photography, video recording, audio recording, screenshots, and live streaming are all prohibited, with violators removed immediately without warning or refund. The lobby opens one hour before showtime; the house opens 30 minutes before. Walk-through metal detection is in effect for all attendees.
