Cedric The Entertainer was one of the four comedians who made the Original Kings of Comedy a cultural moment — the late-1990s stadium tour with Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, and the late Bernie Mac that Spike Lee filmed and released in 2000. That run helped define what a large-scale comedy show could look like, and on Saturday, January 16, 2027, he brings the act to the Seneca Allegany Resort & Casino Event Center in Salamanca. About the Show
Three decades into a career that has run from stand-up clubs to film sets to Las Vegas residencies, Cedric Antonio Kyles has built one of the more versatile track records in American entertainment. In comedy alone, the credentials stack up: the Richard Pryor Comic of the Year Award from BET in 1994; four consecutive NAACP Image Awards as Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for “The Steve Harvey Show”; a Hollywood Walk of Fame star earned in 2019; and a spot on Comedy Central’s 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time list. On the screen, he starred in and executive produced CBS’s “The Neighborhood” for eight seasons and has appeared in the Barbershop franchise, The Honeymooners, and animated features including the Madagascar series. He also performed “Love & Laughter,” a comedy and music residency alongside Toni Braxton at The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, and co-created the Hulu docu-series “Kings of BBQ” with Anthony Anderson. In 2023, he published his debut novel, Flipping Boxcars, through Amistad/HarperCollins.
His live style is deliberate in its construction: observational humor, physical bits, and a delivery he has described as leaning almost entirely away from profanity; a combination that holds up across the broad, mixed-age crowds a casino event center tends to attract. That breadth shows in where he’s been booked: arenas for the big comedy festivals, smaller rooms for the solo shows. The Salamanca date is the second stop on a back-to-back casino run; he plays Pickering Casino Resort in Ontario the night before. No support act has been announced.
