Taking Back Sunday at Outer Harbor Live at Terminal B | September 29, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · August 24, 2026

Louder Now turns 20 this fall, and Taking Back Sunday is marking the occasion with the kind of tour that doesn’t assemble itself: Thrice and Saves the Day in support, Fred Mascherino back as a touring member alongside John Nolan, and a run that carries them across the country from mid-September through mid-October. The September 29 stop comes to Outer Harbor Live at Terminal B on the Buffalo waterfront.

About the Show

The fall tour runs September 16 through October 18, 2026, with one particular destination embedded in the middle: an October 14 show at Red Rocks Amphitheater where the band will perform Louder Now in its entirety to mark the album’s 20th anniversary — the only date on the run with that billing. Singer Adam Lazzara, announcing the tour in April, said the band had been “planning and preparing for this tour for a while,” and called the Red Rocks night “a special show on a beautiful night in October…to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Louder Now.” The Buffalo date draws a standard set — a distinction worth knowing going in, not a reason to stay home.

Taking Back Sunday formed in Amityville, Long Island, in November 1999, and the two-plus decades since have taken them from post-hardcore word-of-mouth to one of the defining acts of that era. Their 2004 album Where You Want to Be debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200; Louder Now followed on Warner Bros. in 2006. Their most recent studio album, 152, arrived in October 2023 on Fantasy Records, their first full-length in seven years. The summer before this fall run, the band toured with Bayside; the year prior, they co-headlined alongside Coheed and Cambria. The current touring lineup is Adam Lazzara on vocals, John Nolan on guitar and keys, Shaun Cooper on bass, and Mark O’Connell on drums, with Mascherino returning as a touring member — putting two of the Louder Now-era guitarists back in the same band for this run. Thrice and Saves the Day open.

The show is part of the Seneca Buffalo Creek Outer Harbor Live Concert Series at Outer Harbor Live at Terminal B, 901 Fuhrmann Blvd, on the Buffalo waterfront. The outdoor stage faces Lake Erie — the local press has called it one of Western New York’s premier outdoor concert venues, and the 6,000-capacity room’s waterfront position backs that up.
