Judy Collins at Bethel Woods | December 5, 2026

By Marc Delacroix · September 2, 2026

Judy Collins named her farewell tour after the song Stephen Stills wrote in her honor — “Suite: Judy Blue Eyes,” the opening track from Crosby, Stills & Nash’s 1969 debut — and the tour brings her, at 86, to Bethel Woods: the grounds where that summer’s counterculture became history. Few artists of her generation can still hold rooms on their own terms, on the strength of six decades of catalog. Collins can. That is the thing worth holding onto when you are deciding whether to go.

About the Show

The Sweet Judy Blue Eyes Farewell Tour launched July 4, 2026 and runs into 2027 with over 40 confirmed dates. The December 5 Bethel Woods stop takes place in the Event Gallery, the venue’s indoor space, rather than the main outdoor amphitheater. For December, and for Collins, that is the right room. She began performing professionally at age 13 as a classical piano prodigy before folk music redirected her — toward Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, and eventually Greenwich Village, where she became the tastemaker who helped bring Leonard Cohen, Joni Mitchell, and Randy Newman to wider audiences. Her recordings carry the same seriousness: “Both Sides Now” won the 1969 Grammy for Best Folk Performance; “Send in the Clowns” won Song of the Year in 1975; her “Amazing Grace” was inducted into the Library of Congress National Recording Registry. Spellbound (2023), her most recent album and a Grammy nominee for Best Folk Album, was also her first record composed entirely of original songs — six decades of interpreting other people’s material before she arrived there. Collins remains active as a UNICEF representative and published a poetry collection in 2025. No supporting act is listed for this date.
