Celtic Thunder at Penn’s Peak | September 11, 2026
Here is the thing about Penn’s Peak: the show starts before you walk through the door. The venue sits on a mountaintop above Jim Thorpe in the Pocono Mountains, and on a clear September evening, that 50-mile panoramic view from the concourse is its own pre-show. Doors open at 6:00 PM for an 8:00 PM start — that two-hour window is not just for getting a drink. It is for taking in the view, settling into the night, and maybe getting dinner at Roadies, the full-service restaurant right on-site. Get there early.
About Celtic Thunder
Celtic Thunder is an Irish theatrical singing ensemble founded in Dublin in 2007 by producer Sharon Browne. The current touring lineup — Emmet Cahill, Damian McGinty, Neil Byrne, and Ronan Scolard, backed by the Celtic Thunder Band — built one of the most devoted audiences in American touring through years of PBS pledge-drive specials and 12 studio albums of Irish folk, ballads, and dramatic full-ensemble productions. Billboard named them Top World Album Artist in 2008, 2009, and 2011.
This tour is An Evening with Celtic Thunder 2026: Celebrate Your Favorite Songs — a best-of celebration for the longtime fans. If you already know Celtic Thunder, you know this is the set you came for. If you are new to them, expect something closer to an Irish theatrical stage show than a traditional folk concert: solo ballads, full-ensemble numbers, dramatic staging, and an audience that is genuinely, enthusiastically there for every note.
Penn’s Peak
Penn’s Peak is a 1,800-capacity mountaintop entertainment venue at 325 Maury Road in Jim Thorpe — one of the most visually striking show settings in the Pennsylvania region. High ceilings, a spacious dance floor, a concert bar, and Roadies restaurant on-site. The room suits an event like this well: big enough to feel like an occasion, intimate enough that there is not a bad seat in the house.
Tickets
Three reserved seating tiers: Regular Reserved at $31.50, Premium Reserved at $36.50, and Super Premium Reserved at $43.50. All seats are assigned. The tour kicked off September 7 in Washington, D.C. — this is an early date in the run, and it will sell.
