JP Justice has been doing this for more than 30 years, working stages from Harlem to the Apollo Theater, and he describes the work plainly: “truth, laughter, and legacy.” Drew Fraser’s career reads along similar lines: a half-hour special on Comedy Central Presents, credits on Def Comedy Jam and BET Comic View, and international sets in London, Holland, Bermuda, and at the Melbourne Comedy Festival. On Friday, November 13, both headline Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, as part of Dream Come True Presents Comedy Night: Wise Crackers Comedy Group. Showtime is 7:00 p.m.
About the Show
Dream Come True staged a prior edition of this event at Penn’s Peak in November 2025, and the format returns: dual headliners, a professional MC, and an evening that runs as much like a community celebration as a standard club night. JP Justice, a Harlem-born comedian with more than three decades on the mic, is known for crowd control and a stage presence that travels well across room sizes. He is also the author of SET: Breaking Down The Elements to Urban Stand-Up Comedy, a practical guide to stand-up performance.
Fraser co-hosted P. Diddy’s Bad Boys of Comedy in 2007 and currently hosts Amateur Night at the Apollo Theater while also handling warm-up duties for The Queen Latifah Show. Named New York City’s Funniest Male Comedian in 1996 and third-place finisher at the Urban Comedy Awards in 1999, his credits span multiple television networks, and he has performed internationally in London, Holland, Bermuda, and Australia. Scott Bruce serves as MC, and the full show runs approximately 90 minutes. The evening also includes a basket raffle and Dream Maker Awards recognizing families, reflecting Wise Crackers Comedy Clubs’ 20-plus-year history of community-oriented comedy fundraising. The organization has raised more than $1.5 million through those efforts.
