The Basement Yard at Shea’s Performing Arts Center | November 7, 2026

By Meg Andersen · June 9, 2026

If you have ever spent a commute laughing at Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez arguing about something completely unimportant and absolutely hilarious, the From the Basement to the World Tour brings that energy live to Shea’s Performing Arts Center in Buffalo on Saturday, November 7. Showtime is 8:00 PM.

About The Basement Yard

The Basement Yard started in 2015 as a casual podcast — Joe Santagato recording in Queens with his lifelong friend Frank Alvarez, doing what they have been doing since preschool. Frank officially came on as permanent co-host in 2020, and the show has grown into one of the more significant podcast brands in the space: as of spring 2026, over 1.3 million YouTube subscribers, more than 114,000 Patreon supporters, and a ranking in the top 10 most-supported podcasts on the platform.

The live show is what you need to understand before you go. This is not stand-up, and it is not a scripted performance. It is unscripted and unpredictable — Joe and Frank riff, debate, pull in the crowd, and bring audience members onstage. Shows run 90 minutes to two hours and blend crowd work, hypothetical scenarios, food debates, and callbacks to viral podcast moments. They sold out Radio City Music Hall in 2024. The Buffalo date lands just six days before their Madison Square Garden appearance at the New York Comedy Festival — if that kind of company means something to you, it should.

The show is ages 16 and up.
