Maya de Vitry walked into a studio in Goodlettsville, Tennessee last November and handed her band a proposition: no edits on any of the tracks they recorded over three days. Not a punch-in, not a drop-in, nothing. When that became clear, de Vitry later recalled, “the level of commitment from everyone just soared.” The resulting album, All My Faith (her fifth full-length record, out July 24, 2026), sounds exactly like that: present, unguarded, alive. She brings it to Caffe Lena in Saratoga Springs on Thursday, November 5.
About the Show
De Vitry grew up in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, but she has been based in Nashville long enough that the city’s picker culture is woven through how she writes. She started out as a fiddler, spent seven years touring internationally with the roots-Americana trio The Stray Birds, and launched her solo career in 2019 with Adaptations, which earned immediate attention from Rolling Stone Country, NPR Music, and No Depression. All My Faith is the fifth full-length record of a solo run that has moved steadily toward something harder to fake: the kind of songwriting that, as Folk Alley put it, “radiates a luminous elation” even when the subject is adaptation or the slow work of healing. She self-produced the album on her own Mad Maker Studio label, with engineering from Sean Sullivan, a five-time Grammy Award winner, and contributions from Jo Schornikow on keys, Spencer Cullum and Ethan Ballinger on pedal steel and guitar, and Shelby Means and Joel Timmons on harmonies. De Vitry has described what she’s after: “I’d like my music to feel like you are invited into a lush living forest or into a remote river canyon where suddenly you are stripped of not only modern conveniences but also modern distractions.” No Depression called the record “fresh, friendly and sometimes even funny”; it’s a record that trusts you to keep up. The show runs from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
