In 1992, FireHouse beat Nirvana and Alice in Chains for the American Music Award for Favorite New Heavy Metal/Hard Rock Artist — a line that reads like a punchline now but captured, with unintentional precision, exactly how quickly rock radio’s priorities were about to invert. More than three decades on, the Charlotte hard rock band brings an active 2026 tour to The Vine Showroom at del Lago Resort & Casino on Saturday, December 5, playing under a lineup that carries on without the frontman who built the catalog.
About the Show
Original frontman CJ Snare, who co-wrote most of the band’s compositions and led them through their commercial peak, died of cancer in April 2024. Founding guitarist Bill Leverty and drummer Michael Foster, both in the band since 1984, have kept FireHouse on the road with Nate Peck, a former American Idol Season 21 contestant who stepped in temporarily in 2023 and was confirmed as permanent frontman following Snare’s death. The del Lago date falls inside an active touring cycle backed by new studio work: FireHouse released “Mighty Fine Lady” in May 2025, Peck’s first recorded appearance with the band, then followed it with “Midnight Gasoline” in September 2025.
The catalog is the reason to go. The double-platinum self-titled debut from 1990 holds up as a model of the form; “Love of a Lifetime” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and was voted the No. 1 wedding song of its era, a fact guitarist Leverty has noted still follows him at every meet-and-greet. Hits including “Don’t Treat Me Bad,” “All She Wrote,” and “When I Look Into Your Eyes” pushed the band to 16 Gold and Platinum records worldwide over 35-plus years of continuous world touring that included a robust run through Japan, Thailand, and Southeast Asia when the U.S. chart chapter had closed. Peck arrived under circumstances that were never going to be easy, and the new recordings are the first evidence of where this version of the band is pointed.

The Vine Showroom at del Lago Resort & Casino in Waterloo holds 1,400 and was voted Gold in Best Night Club in the Finger Lakes. The venue describes the room as “acoustically superior to any other entertainment site in the area” — a 1,400-cap purpose-built casino showroom is not the worst place to test that claim.
