Keep Flying has spent most of 2026 on the road, and the band’s own calendar makes the case: a month-long Ten Year Anniversary Tour in May with a different city every night, June dates in Toronto, a September run through Pittsburgh and Cleveland, and a stretch of UK shows in October through Nottingham and Stoke-on-Trent. The Long Island-bred punk band brings all of that to the Sherman Showcase on December 3. In their own words: “We can hijack just about anything. We can walk into a room and make it OUR ROOM.”
About the Show
Keep Flying formed in 2016, building their sound around punk, pop, and hardcore with a signature horn section (saxophone and trombone) that sets them apart from most acts in that genre space. The name carries dual meaning: a motivational call to persevere through difficulty, and a nod to the sci-fi series Firefly. After several years of EPs and live recordings, their debut full-length, Time & Tide, arrived in April 2025 on Smartpunk Records, produced throughout 2024 during the band’s relentless touring schedule. The record works through mental struggle, fleeting joy, life on the fringes of the music industry, and societal disillusionment — delivered, per the album’s own notes, through “pounding percussion, razor-sharp guitars, and soaring anthemic horns.”
The December stop follows the band’s Ten Year Anniversary Tour, which wrapped in May. Coverage of their Albany show described the night as one where “the band revisited their energy that defined their first decade, while also looking forward to what the future holds.” Between May and December, they have played venues from Toronto to Pittsburgh to Nottingham — both sides of the Atlantic in a single year.
Three support acts round out the bill: Joint Operation, a rock n roll band from Baltimore; Steveo and The Crippling Addictions; and The Chemical Imbalance, a six-piece ska-core outfit that fuses ska punk with progressive metal, billed by the venue as “a sonic fireball of total fury.”
