Michael Bourada: IMPOSSIBLE at The Port Theatre | November 6, 2026

By Meg Andersen · September 16, 2026

Michael Bourada built his first touring production at 19 — one of the youngest illusionists in Canada to headline his own show — and has spent more than two decades proving that early bet right. His IMPOSSIBLE show, blending magic and mentalism in an 80-minute performance built around audience participation, comes to The Port Theatre in Cornwall on Friday, November 6, with a 5:00 p.m. curtain.

About the Show

IMPOSSIBLE: A Night of Magic and Mentalism works in layers. Bourada combines illusion and mentalism (sleight of hand, mind-reading feats, staged deceptions designed to challenge perception) and builds the evening around the people watching. Audience members don’t just watch; they get pulled into the performance and often become part of the trick. The show is designed for all ages. Reviews describe it as “baffling, clever, funny,” and Bourada frames his own approach as “upbeat magic, laugh-out-loud moments and charming style.” At 80 minutes, it builds real stakes without overstaying its welcome.

The résumé backing it up is substantial. Bourada is one of a select few magicians chosen to appear on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, the international television competition that earns its standing precisely because it is hard to get onto. He has also been featured on Netflix, CTV, The CW, and Hulu, and has accumulated more than 2.5 million social media followers. His career spans more than 8,000 shows, six national Canadian tours, and performances in over 20 countries. He has performed for Carrie Underwood, Kevin Bacon, and Wayne Gretzky, and headlined corporate events for companies including Google, Amazon, and Shopify. He has been nominated for Canadian Entertainer of the Year and is award-winning. The November 6 Cornwall date follows 2026 tour stops in Cobourg and Pembroke. No support acts are listed for this date.

Venue & Logistics

The Port Theatre has been a Cornwall landmark since 1941. The 450-seat venue brings a full-sized stage and what the theatre describes as exceptional acoustics — both matter for a show where the fine physical details of close-up performance and misdirection are the whole point. A licensed bar is on site. Cornwall sits in the north-country region along the St. Lawrence, and if you are making the trip from the New York side of the river, leave time for the border crossing.
