It’s A 2000’s Party has spent fall 2026 turning dance floors into time machines. Britney Spears, Beyoncé, Eminem, Lady Gaga — back to back in DJ sets that keep the floor packed from doors to close, in rooms full of people who still know every word. Slacker Media Group’s touring event brand has drawn over 300,000 fans across its live circuit, and the Halloween edition is the marquee date of the fall run. Empire Live in Albany gets it on Saturday, October 31, a return engagement: the event has played this room before.
About the Show
The format is a high-energy DJ night (not a live band) built around the biggest hits of the 2000s and 2010s across pop, hip-hop, R&B, dance, and rock. Slacker Media Group describes it as nonstop throwbacks with an emphasis on sing-along classics: songs everyone in the room knows every word to, played loud and back-to-back from doors to close. The DJ rotation pulls from Britney Spears, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Usher, Eminem, Lady Gaga, Drake, Kesha, Pitbull, and One Direction, among others.
The Halloween edition is the tour’s signature format, with the event hitting multiple U.S. cities simultaneously on October 31. Albany joins San Diego, Indianapolis, Tempe, Charleston, and others in the national rollout that night. Earlier in the fall run, the circuit logged stops at Minglewood Hall in Memphis, House of Blues Cleveland, and Toad’s Place in New Haven. It’s a themed night, and the crowd is expected to dress accordingly: Slacker’s encouraged look is low-rise jeans, graphic tees, tracksuits, shutter shades, or whatever reads Y2K to you.
