Jack Waldheim’s Monday Music Project residency is built around a simple premise: show up, plug in, and see where the night goes. The Berkshire County singer-songwriter brings that approach to The Stationery Factory in Dalton every Monday through December 2026, and the October 26 installment is as good an entry point as any. No ticket required, no cover to pay.
About the Show
The Monday Music Project is explicit about its own looseness. “We’ll be on stage — just like a concert. We’ll be plugged in and playing tunes — just like a concert,” the event description reads, before stating what makes the difference: “we are allowing ourselves a lot of flexibility to search and try things, we let it be organic and see where it goes.” The Berkshire Edge puts it plainly: “Listen in on new explorations in songs & sounds.”
Waldheim’s catalog spans three studio albums, including the 30-track double-disc After the Revolution released on his own Crazy Jane Records imprint, pulling across rock, country, blues, folk, pop, and spoken word. At solo shows he works through delay pedals, loops, phasers, and flangers; at Jiminy Peak he became a crowd favorite for one-man-band sets that left people asking how one person was generating that much sound. Monday nights at The Stationery Factory bring the full Criminal Hearts to the stage: at its core, Waldheim and drummer Chris Mattoon. What gets played on any given Monday is genuinely open. “You never know what it could be that I’ll play,” Waldheim has said. The Monday Music Project is where that uncertainty is the draw rather than the caveat.
Worth noting: Waldheim also operates JW Handcrafted Guitars from The Stationery Factory itself, making this one of the more unusual residency arrangements around. He works on instruments in the building during the week and plays the stage on Monday nights.
Venue & Logistics
The Stationery Factory is a converted industrial building at 63 Flansburg Avenue in Dalton, running as a mixed-use creative space with a concert venue, artisan studios, galleries, healing arts, and retail. The Monday Music Project runs in the North Room. The Stationery Cafe is open during shows, with a full bar, light snacks, and warm beverages available. Shows run 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. every Monday through December 21. The venue is part of the capital region concert calendar.
