Authority Zero at Photo City Music Hall | October 26, 2026

By Rachel Torrey · August 6, 2026

Thirty years in, Authority Zero still plays like they’ve got ground to make up. The Mesa, Arizona band forged their sound at the intersection of skate punk and reggae — fast, loud, with enough groove to keep the pit moving from the first song through the last. The Apocalyptour 2026 brings all of that to Photo City Music Hall in Rochester on Monday, October 26.

About the Show

Formed in 1994, Authority Zero spent three decades proving the combination works. The band draws the line from Bad Religion and Pennywise through Sublime’s reggae-tinged approach, blending melodic punk velocity with undercurrents that add texture without slowing anything down. Their discography runs eight studio albums — A Passage in Time, Andiamo, 12:34, Stories of Survival, The Tipping Point, Broadcasting to the Nations, Persona Non Grata, and Ollie Ollie Oxen Free — built through relentless touring that has taken them to Japan, Belgium’s Groezrock festival, Spain’s Resurrection Fest, and the UK’s Rebellion Fest, with frequent runs alongside Pennywise, Less Than Jake, and Voodoo Glow Skulls.

The fall 2026 Apocalyptour marks the 30th anniversary and supports the Narcissist EP, released March 2026 with five tracks previously available internationally, now making their US debut. The band also released the anniversary EP 30 Years: Speaking to the Youth in 2024. Front man Jason DeVore leads the current lineup, with Sean Sellers on drums — a veteran of Good Riddance and the Real McKenzies.

Chicago punk rock outfit Counterpunch opens. The four-piece has toured 18-plus countries since forming in 2004 and is currently in the studio working on a new full-length. Their read on this run: “Very excited to hit the road this fall with the Authority Zero boys across the US. We’re going to a few places I don’t think Counterpunch has ever played, and we can’t wait!”

Venue & Logistics

Photo City Music Hall is a 400-capacity room on Atlantic Ave in Rochester. For a band that has played outdoor European festivals and international stages, that scale compresses things. The pit opens faster when the room is tight. Doors at 6:00 p.m. Ages 16 and up.

Tickets

Tickets run $23–$25, no refunds. It’s a fair price for a headliner celebrating thirty years and a solid opener from Chicago with its own well-worn passport. Buy tickets
